Multiple taxes

< 1 min read

Here is how to apply multiple taxes on a product

1. Create a tax category ie. TAX STANDARD
2. Create a tax called TAX STANDARD. Set the rate of the total of the taxes. For example. TAX1 5% + TAX2 8%, so the TAX STANDARD rate would be 13%. Select the tax category just created in step 1, ie. TAX STANDARD
3. Create a tax for TAX1, using TAX STANDARD as the Parent Tax and rate of 5%, leave Cascade and Order blank
4. Create a tax for TAX2, using TAX STANDARD as the Parent Tax and rate of 8%, leave Cascade and Order blank
When entering in new products, use TAX STANDARD for the Tax Category. By doing it this way the products will be charged both TAX1 and TAX2 and the taxes will be listed separately on the customer’s receipt.
